Using What God Gave You

December 12, 2004

2 Timothy 2: 14—16

Point to Ponder: God deserves my best.

The best of your life is to serve God out of your shape. To do this you must discover, accept, enjoy, and develop the shape He’s given you. God wants you to accept your shape:

(Rom 12:5 NIV) so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

Since God lovingly shaped you, and He knows what’s best, you should gratefully accept the way He’s fashioned you.
Nobody is good at everything and no one is called to be everything. We each have defined roles.

God wants you to enjoy your shape.

(Gal 6:4 NIV)   Each one should test his own actions. Then he can take pride in himself, without comparing himself to somebody else,

Don’t compare yourself to others. Satin loves it when you try to compare yourself to others. Ether you will get discouraged or you’ll get full of pride.

God wants you to develop your shape.

(2 Tim 1:6 NIV)  For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

God expects us to make the most of what he gives us.

Never forget that we’re getting ready for eternal responsibilities and rewards. This is why we keep training and developing.
