Sharing Your Personal Message

January 16, 2005

1 Peter 3:13—22

Question to consider as I reflect on my personal story, who would God want me to share it with?

There are four parts to life message God has put within you: God wants you to share your testimony. The essence of witnessing is simply reporting your personal experiences with the Lord.

A witness isn’t expected to argue the case, prove the truth, or press for a verdict; that is the job of attorney.

Witness just tell what happened to them.

(Acts 1:8 NIV)  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Not “You must be my attorney”

(1 John 5:10 NIV)  Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son.

The second part is that God wants you share your life. These are lessons about God, relationship, problems, temptation, and other aspects of life. Share them with other. The books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes, are filled with practical lessons on living.

God wants you to share your Godly passion. God is a passionate God.

(Mat 12:34 NIV)  You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. Heart determines your speech.

We must care about unbelievers because God does.
