7. BACKBONE CHURCH MEMBERS
A. The ones who have BIBLE CONVICTIONS
Daniel and his three friends Shadrach, Meshack, & Abendnego
They stood up for their convictions many times
They did it at great personal risk
They did it when it wasn’t in style to do so
No one was watching over them
Like a parent or a preacher
But they stood on their convictions!
What are some unmovable Bible convictions? Won’t have time this morning to go in depth, but here are some unmovable convictions:
1. Jesus Christ is and was and will always be God.
He was 100% God and 100% man at all times when on the earth
He did allow himself to be limited here on earth
But he was still God in the flesh.
2. Word of God is infallible, inerrant, & unshakable.
It is inspired by God, it is true and without error.
Throughout centuries many have tried to destroy it’s credibility
But they have only proven its authenticity.
3. The church is God’s plan for spreading Gospel
The church may not be what it should be or can be
But it is still God’s plan to use the church to reach the lost.
4. Salvation is by Grace Alone.
It is not salvation by grace plus something.
(Eph 2:8 KJV) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Salvation is a result of faith
Trusting the gift of God which was his Son Jesus Christ
Who died for our sins and rose on the third day.
